Built in the year 1842 the Thian Hock Keng Temple has gone through renovations many time since then. This incredible temple in Singapore achieved the status of national monument in the year 1973. Thian Hock Keng Temple is in close vicinity with the Raffles place. You can even reach to this temple by waking for a few minutes from Tanjong Pagar MRT station.

The Thian Hock Keng Temple comes with a magnificent main entrance gate as well as side entrance gates. The striking features of the side entrance gates mesmerizes the visitors with their fabulous designs and ethnicity. You will get to see wonderful pictures of roses and peacocks on these entrances. To bring good luck and to drive the evil spirits the temple walls and entrances bears the symbol of Buddhist Swastika.
