The Republic of Singapore Air Force Museum is located at Airport Road in Paya Lebar Airbase.
The Republic of Singapore Air Force Museum sprawls over an area of 10,600 square meters and is the best place for people interested in military aspect of Singapore. There are indoor galleries in two levels and an outdoor gallery. The displays of the Singapore museum consist of objects like Bloodhound missiles, cap badges of colonial times, Hunter Hawker and airplanes like SF 260 and A4-S Skyhawk.
There are several galleries in Singapore Air Force Museum, all displaying air force exhibits. The displays on the outdoor gallery are aircrafts like Hawker Hunter, T-33 Shooting Star Trainers, Cessna 172K and BAC 167 Strikemaster. You can also see engines, aircraft armaments and UH-1B Helicopter here.
Gallery One is the place where you get introduced to the history of air force. The display contains several past models, equipments and aircrafts. In Gallery Two you will learn about the function of air force in defending Singapore. Facilities and inventory are emphasized in Gallery Three. In Gallery Four you will get to know about the change in approach of air force in defence of Singapore with highlights on shift from initial growth phase to the phase of up gradation.
Explore the souvenirs of progress of air force in gallery Five. Several units of air force are brought together to fortify the defense of Singapore and this is the main display of Gallery Six. Gallery Seven speaks of the advancement of the air force both overseas and locally. The futuristic vision and exercises with other countries are displayed in Gallery Eight. From Tuesday to Sunday the museum in Singapore remains open from 8:30 am to 5pm. The museum remains closed on public holidays and admission to the museum is free.
